TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We aim to ensure all guests have a most enjoyable stay at Trencreek Palms.  To enable this through the booking procedure and maintaining the comfort of the accommodation, bookings are only accepted on the following conditions:

1.

A 25% deposit of the total cost of the holiday must be made within 1 week of booking (non-returnable unless the booking cannot be accepted; no liability can be accepted should the accommodation become unavailable due to  circumstances beyond the control of the owners).

2.

The balance must be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival (if the balance outstanding is more than 2 weeks in arrears and we are unable to relet the holiday you will remain liable for the outstanding balance).

3.

A ‘£200 Good Housekeeping Bond’ must be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival, (refundable within 1 week of the end of your holiday upon satisfactory vacation).  Guests must keep the house and all its furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in the same state of repair as at the commencement of the holiday.  The property should be left in the same state of cleanliness so that it is immediately suitable for occupation by another hirer. Guests must report and pay or any damage or breakages made during their holiday occupancy.  The good housekeeping refundable bond will be adjusted accordingly if damages are found immediately after guest’s vacation. Should the damage/loss exceed £200, guests will be charged the difference.

4.

For late bookings of 6 weeks or less before holiday commencement date, the full amount is required with the booking form.

5.

Bookings are only accepted from persons over 25 years of age and we are unable to accommodate all male or all female parties.

6.

Telephone/email provisional bookings will be held for one clear week pending receipt of the deposit.

7.

Guests are strongly encouraged to take out holiday and cancellation insurance.  Guests are reminded that they are legally responsible for payment of the full amount if they have to cancel.  However, we will endeavour to re-let the accommodation and if successful, costs over the deposit will not be applicable.  The deposit will be retained in all circumstances.  The owners accept no responsibility for personal injury to Guests, losses/damages to guest’s property, or any other matters over which the owners have no control.

8.

Accommodation is available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on date of departure, (to enable preparations for the following guests).

9.

The Owner or representative shall be allowed access to the accommodation at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy to deal with any unforeseen issues.

10.

A strict no smoking policy is operated and pets cannot be accommodated.  Guest’s entertainment or behaviour must not interfere with the comfort and enjoyment of neighbours.  If any of these conditions are broken, guests will be asked to leave without refund.

11.

The house is only to be occupied by the Tenant for a holiday as mentioned in the Housing Act 1988 Schedule 1 paragraph 9 and the Tenant acknowledges that the tenancy granted by this agreement is not an assured tenancy and that no statutory periodic tenancy will arise when it ends.  Should the hirer fail to give up possession at the end of the holiday or leave the accommodation in a condition that it is not suitable for occupation by another hirer, he or she will be liable for the charges shown on the tariff schedule.  The house must not be sub-let and is limited to the people stated at the time of booking.  The person signing the booking form will be responsible for all the persons included on the form and must ensure that they are aware of all the booking conditions.

12.

Complaints:  In the event of there being cause for complaint concerning the property, please contact us.  It is important that this is done whilst you are still at the property so that an on-the-spot investigation can be made if necessary and remedial action taken if required. In no circumstances will compensation be made for complaints raised after the tenancy has ended when the Tenant has denied the Owner the opportunity of investigating the complaint and endeavouring to put matters right during the tenancy.

These conditions have been drawn up in consideration of all guests to ensure that you have a happy and enjoyable stay at Trencreek Palms.

Thank you,

Helen and Jim.
